Care for Your Mace

You just purchased new Mace Gear, here are some things you can do to keep it looking and smelling its best.

Wash before you wear: It’s always a good idea to wash a new item of clothing before you wear it, especially Polyester clothing. This will ensure that when you wear your clothing for the first time it doesn’t end up smelling.

Wash it right: When you wash Mace gear use cold water and then hang it to dry. This will make sure your colors stay bright and your gear looks right, avoiding pilling and fading.

Don’t wash with Velcro: When you wash your Mace gear make sure you don’t wash it with anything that has Velcro on it. Why? Because the Velcro will stick to your nice clothes and pull at the material causing it to pill, look worn and old.

Don’t leave your gear in a pile: If you leave your gear in a wet pile or in a bag you will most likely come back to a bad surprise. So take that extra few minutes to deal with your gear when you get home.
